Social Editor

Company Description
The Dink is a pickleball-focused sports media, events and ecommerce brand that publishes daily content for millions of followers, subscribers, readers and listeners across its newsletters, podcasts, web publication and expansive social media presence. The Dink also produces and executes tournaments, celebrity pro-ams, pro exhibitions and various other events. The Dink, in a joint venture with its partner DUPR, operates The Dink Minor League, the largest amateur pickleball circuit featuring over 200 tournaments across the US and internationally.
Role Description
We are searching for a talented Social Editor to implement and maintain a strong online presence for The Dink Pickleball and Minor League Pickleball (MiLP) social accounts.
This is a unique opportunity to manage a sports media brand that reaches millions of people daily.The Social Editor will oversee our digital presence, create engaging content, monitor the pickleball ecosystem and drive audience growth across multiple platforms.Expect to attend various pickleball tournaments, celebrity pro-ams, brand activations and other events. We are looking for someone who is creative, detail oriented, growth-minded and an expert in the latest trends and best practices across social media. - Craft copy and execute posts across a variety of social channels, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, and YouTube
- Be a master of finding UGC and new content first
Possess strong hook writing and communication skills
Interact with our community of fans and athletes
- Own and execute against a social content calendar
Monitor social interactions daily, using feedback to better inform future social executions
- Discover new and emerging external creators and implement ways to collaborate on video executions
- Execute basic photo and video editing on relevant social platforms
Requirements
- Deep understanding of the Pickleball landscape and athletes
- High level social media understanding and proficiency using Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X/Twitter, Facebook, Threads, and other emerging social media platforms
- Ability to multitask and exercise strong editorial judgement in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with branded content or sales support
- Ability to analyze data and make content decisions accordingly
- Deliver monthly reports that provide not only numbers but also insight on growth and trends
- Accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment with ability to multi-task and collaborate
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours to cover major events and breaking news
- Motivated, self-starter with a no-task-too-small attitude
- Strong written, verbal, communication skills
- Ability to react quickly and positively to real-time trends, hiccups, and comments
- Expertise in social trends, culture
- Previous experience in the sports, entertainment, live events industry a plus
- Someone who plays pickleball is a huge plus!

Content Marketing Intern

Role Description
We are searching for a talented Content Marketing Intern to implement and maintain a pipeline of written and visual content curated from newsletters, video content and archived materials.
You will support The Dink’s top-of-funnel content marketing strategy, using Dink articles and newsletters to improve awareness, consideration and traffic across the prospective audience. Interns who excel during their internship will be considered for full or part-time roles in the future.
Our Content Marketing Intern will
Publish articles to The Dink website
Develop new content for the site
Leverage new technology to automate processes
Work directly with our writers to assist in posting and optimizing web content
Own and execute against a weekly content calendar
Report/Provide insight on website and newsletter analytics
Requirements
Detail oriented
Able and willing to do tasks that may change on a day to day basis
Brings a positive attitude every work day
Familiar with content management systems is a plus
Someone who plays pickleball is a huge plus!
